Re: The New Joke Thread
Only problem with that is you wouldn't want to waste it on cleaning your hands.

Re: The New Joke Thread
Hmmmmmm... so if the alcohol kills the virus, then if I washed my hands over a bowl, I could then gargle the bowl's contents?
I mean, you wouldn't want to waste that top shelf booze, now, would you?

I was sitting in a bar in Maggie Valley telling a Popcorn Sutton story i had heard when an old guy sitting next to me pipes up and said, "Son if your gonna tell stories about sumbuddy. The least you can do is buy him a drink!"
I was a bit embarrassed, but bought Popcorn his drink. I would have liked to know if that story was true... Feds finally caught up with him.

He was jailed several times over illegal booze. I don't know if it was the feds or local.

According to Wikipedia, Sutton committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning in March 2009, aged 62, rather than report to federal prison (18 month sentence) after being convicted of offenses related to moonshining and illegal firearm possession.
Before his rise to fame at around 60 years of age, he had been in trouble with the law several times, but had avoided prison sentences. He was convicted in 1974 of selling untaxed liquor[4][7] and in 1981 and 1985 on charges of possessing controlled substances and assault with a deadly weapon, but he received only probation sentences in those cases.

Yeah, he avoided prison but he had been jailed several times for a few days until bond could be posted. I didn't know he took his life. according to the date of death, I ran into him not long before he took his life.
