Your post (quoted below) is so old I decided to PM you.
I have two older diesel engines and I was wondering what became of this situation?
What additive did you use?
Did you have more injection pump problems after using additives?
I would love to find out the name of the shop that was rebuilding the injection pumps. My boat engine is negligible, but my other engine is a large CAT (for my septic truck) that I just bought.
Thank you,
Eric

"The truth is, back when CA switched over to LSD, I had just gotten a used Toyota Corolla diesel with about 30k miles. In a very short time, the injection pump failed and I took it into a local diesel shop to get it repaired. When he told me it would take at least a month, possibly 2 to get it back, I was shocked.... here is the link to your original post:

Just read your post #10872 in the New Joke Thread and had a couple of Plunger related comments. One of my Nuke School classmates, Ltjg Chuck Wunsch, served in Plunger, beginning during the overhaul at MINSY in 1972. He was on board when CDR Wildeman was washed overboard. Reading between the lines, in your post, you were there well after that so you probably didn't cross paths.
