Re: The New Joke Thread

And then there is the economy......

100 years ago a Twenty Dollar bill and a Twenty Dollar gold piece were interchangeable. Either one would buy a new suit, new shoes and a night on the town.

Only the Twenty Dollar gold piece can still do that, no thanks to the National Reserve Bank.

For you gill netters, if you rip a hole in a net, there are actually fewer holes in it than there were before.

Re: The New Joke Thread

100 years ago everyone owned a horse and only the rich had cars. Today everyone has cars and only the rich own horses.

“And mostly little girls will be riding horses”

Back in the seventies, I drove a Ford Pinto station wagon.

My teenage daughter kept HER pinto in the horse shed out back.

Just saying....

This is NOT my daughter; this is NOT a pinto.

Fake news. The photo CLEARLY shows a horse of only two colours (black and white) which means its a Paint, not a Pinto.

That’s a really old picture from 1968, a bit faded. His body is brown & white with parts of the main, tail & forelock that are black. Zoom in.....

I birthed and raised him, and he lived to be 16 YO. He’s 2 YO in the picture.

I rear-ended a Ford Pinto once. Idiot had stopped on ice, nothing I could do.

It was just a gentle tap, no damage. But I never saw anyone jump out of a car that fast!

What do you call a pirate with 2 eyes, 2 arms and 2 legs?

A beginner....

I had a pony as a little boy too, named him baby. My Mother would find me by finding him, I would just get off, didn’t need to tie him up, he followed me like a dog, and if I went in a house even for hours he would wait for me in the yard. Never went home without me.
He was a rescue, in bad shape when we saw him, bit had been in his mouth likely for months, had to leave it out for a month to let his mouth heal. He really fought my Father putting that bit back in his mouth too, but he soon learned we took it out.
We always had horses growing up, not sure why. We had one that almost no one could ride, but as a little boy he let me ride him, but no man was allowed to. His name was white socks.
