Hi, Does your IP38 still have the original Yanmar 4JHE engine? My 1988 IP38 still does, but starting to consume a lot of oil is Im considering a repower, perhaps a Beta. I read your chain plate postings, good info! I still have the originals...fingers crossed. When comparing the standing rigging on my IP38 to others similar newer makes and models the IP seems more robust. 2 head stays, 2 back stays and 4 side stays on each side I have always felt comfortable in knowing that if one chain plate gives way we could make it to port safely.

I'm trying to find someone to help me with my friends truck he put water in his 2007 gmc sierra 350 Duramax engine and ran it to his house he drained all the fule out of the truck and put new in but truck will. It start now it will roll over just won't start
