Regarding all the statues being pulled down/remove because people are offended by them:

I would rather people educate themselves and study the history of how/why the statues were erected in the first place, and if indicated put their effort into helping prevent the same social/historical conditions TODAY rather than just "being offended" and desiring to remove those same statues . . . .

Which is better? Learning from history, or just being "offended" by it?
