    Hi Skipmac,

I would love to have the name of the surveyor in S Fl. I am looking to buy a boat and need one.

Is this Skip and was the old sport fisherman an egg harbor (I think) that sunk at the dock? And was Bernie's last name Davids?

I to started out in Lauderdale 40 years ago and had a couple companies doing marine electronics there before moving to the Virginia Islands. My name is Steve Brigham do we know one another?

Hi. I am having the same issue with a seawolf all chain windlass that you had. I took the gypsy off and it had 160 and H stamped on it. The boat has 200' of the completely wrong chain on it now. Did you ever find where to buy chain for this unit?

Hi, Skipmac. I'm the gal that was discussing the immobile cat 30. We're not super serious about a boat at this point. We live on Charlotte Harbor and could of used that boat for local sailing. The guy wanted $2k, "negotiable". We could of had an O'day 39 just down the canal for $8k, but it was a total mess.

Ideally, we'd eventually like a boat for trips to the Keys and beyond. Guess we're really saving up for a good cruiser that's at least 34'.

Did you just finish refitting a boat?

    Hi Skipmac,

I recently bought a pearson 23' and I'm living in Gainesville, Florida.
I plan in using my boat for the first time this weekend and I'm not sure where to go (around Jacks?).
I saw you a lot on the forum so I though maybe you'll have few interesting suggestions?

    Thank you for your help!

I think many who cite the wonders of a composting head, really should first be asking themselves if they can improve their regular head system to avoid the problems they have.

Also, the reality of longer term cruising, is you will eventually have to empty the composting toilet, while some of the the contents are not yet composted. In my opinion that's much less pleasant than simply opening a through-hull.

Hello, Skip. The Galerider is the larger model measuring over 42". I inspected it again and it is new save a few smudges from the locker where it was stored at the yacht club. The postage should be around $25 according to size, weight, and location (I think you are in Florida?). I will have it insured as well. My pay pal e m a i l acct. is: retomas at g m a i l dot com. Send me a note to the mail address first to make sure we have it correct. Thanks, Bob --- 9 1 7 7 9 7 9 9 2 5 phone.

Hi....I will be able to open the box where the Galerider is stored, tomorrow morning. I will check the measurement.

You may mean Grimaldi's Pizza in Brooklyn. I think it would be cheaper and easier to simply ship the item via USPS Priority. I think I could fit it into a box safely. If not, I will ship it FedEx as there is a center not far from my home. My past experience tells me that it should be between $20-30 (probably on the lower end but the insurance brings the cost up). My email address is good for paypal. There is a 3% paypal charge but I will absorb that. Expect to hear from me tomorrow. By the way, where are you located...I did not look at your profile here...
