Nic Goes . . . and I Go Solo

There was plenty of tears today as theres still plenty of love but Nicolle flew out to Australia to pursue some of her own dreams and adventures while I start learning to solo sail.

Nic is a bit younger than the average age of cruiser and her remarkable mind isn’t ready for retirement whilst its at an age when most of the worlds significant scientists have made their breakthroughs.

I think cruising has given her the courage to be able to follow her own mind.

So she carefully said goodbye to every part of Sea Life today with a heavy heart. I think the boat shivered a little as we took the dinghy to shore.

I will take the reins of Sea Life single handed but I’m not a solo sailor.
I am looking for crew for the trans Atlantic, but I feel I want to get this first leg sorted out myself. The run around Gibraltar will teach me how to solo sail or I will be a quivering wreck!


Lifes not too bad when everyone can be happy. We are both sure we will be, and each other will be. We were just so damn mature about it.
