Hi We are a Canadian and a Filipina living in Manila we bought a yacht its open water cruiser only 29 foot anyways if you or anyone you know is in the Philippines and likes to sail maybe you could contact us we wud loves to learn how to pilot our yacht we are rookies we sail on shared expense basis at first doing some island hopping and then doing some open water trips to Bali, Thailand HK or wherever the winds take us can you join our adventure?? Or just some yachtie friends who can help some beginners with the ropes?? Cheers

Hi Mark-

While I have lived aboard for 4 year in San Diego, my cruising knowledge is limited to what I have read and heard.

I made a recent trip to Cuba with the University of CA- San Diego and saw an opportunity. I would like to start bringing boat parts into Cuba in anticipation of the lifting of the embargo. I met with a former government economist and he was also very insistent, as you are, that they will not allow what happened to the Key West reefs to happen to the Cuban reefs. I also met with scuba divers, cruisers and marine tour guides.

I am asking for any advice you might have. I will be making another visit to the Caribbean shortly, where exactly are you located?
