Mark;
So sorry but it sounds like things are going as well as they can. I've got two girls onboard now and if either one of them went away it would tear my heart out.

Hope things go well for both of you in the future.
Keep up the posts. We would miss your humor if your were too busy sailing to post on the forum and blog.

That really stinks, Mark. I'm hoping good things for you both. You're both wonderful folks. There's no doubt that cruising is a hard life in many ways. If there's things that someone wants to accomplish other than traveling and sailing, then it can pretty hard to make the two mesh well.
Just be careful with that first solo, eh? Maybe file a float plan? (Yeah, I know, I've said that to myself many times and not done it, but maybe this time it would be a good idea?)

Doing a tough patch, eh mate? I assume you've already had a few but let me buy you a few more brews. Be sure to spend an extra day sleeping it off though before setting out. I hear there is beer in the Caribbean and charming ladies and it's all downwind. Best of luck. I hope to meet up widja on the Pacific side. Jon

All my best
Very sorry to hear this indeed. You were one of the few people to respond to my initial greeting on this forum. I hope you find the healing process to be as easy and painless as possible. All my best to you and if you ever find yourself in the great lakes and need a beer or a hand send me a message. Wish I could sail with you across the Atlantic. Sounds like a great learning experience.

I'm sorry to hear that Mark. Nic and I had nice conversations via email and I often mentioned you guys on my blog.
As for the Atlantic, I just asked my partner if I could help you, she said no but I am working on her! Would love to be able to help whilst also learning the ropes.
Whatever happens, I would just like to wish the both of you a very happy future whatever life brings

Im gutted for you both.
Ive followed your every move via the blog and you two have been my pinups.
Its 12 months since I met Alan and my dreams started and reading this has brought all that back to me with so many mixed feelings.
I hate those crappy cliches like 'I know how you feel' or what your going through, but I can empathise on this occasion.
Please be possitive and look forward to the rest of your voyage cos the adventure isnt over yet.

Hi folks
Thanks everyone for your lovely messages. They are really nice and very unexpected
No, I'm not depressed, nor going to sea to pretend to be a dolphin. I'll do it slow and carefully. I'll be looking for at the weather next week.
Now with all these world-wide offers of beer I gotta planning! Mmmmm!
Thanks Its nice to be amongst friends.
Mark
