Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

This may have been listed in this thread before. I don't follow this thread so don't know. I came across the listing today and read the blog today. From what I can tell, the boat is back on the market and still for sale.

NOTE: I have no connection to this boat or seller.
------------

Searunner Trimaran 31'

Asking Price = $26,000

Location : Marathon Florida

Very good blog, lots of photos, 15 minute walk through video shows the features.

From the photos and video, it appears to be in very good to excellent condition.
The blog also contains a long description of minor things to be fixed, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary for any Used boat. See this link for the blog and photos and video:

Fidgityfeet sez...

From the blog:

"Update 4-2-17. The boat was sold, briefly, but the sale fell through and it's available again.

The boat is currently listed on eBay. It has a low reserve and the auction will end Monday 7/17

PLEASE CONTACT ME YOU ARE SERIOUSLY INTERESTED.

I've been on that Searunner. Appears to be well kept and this is the owners 2nd Searunner. He's a good carpenter and from my conversations with him, a top notch individual.

I emailed him earlier this year and honestly I doubt it will sell for any less than close to asking.

I liked what I saw in the boat.
It looks like it would be a great boat to have in the skinny water of Florida and the Keys and Bahamas.

I see you have the 38 foot model.
Do you have a link to a similar blog, that shows off a boat, with interior photos or video? I would like to see a 38 now.

Thanks for the clarification. I overlooked the word Catamaran, because my mind was on the Searunner Trimaran.

Gemini 3000 for 28K

I'll bring this one up again before the craigslist ad goes dormant. I think it would be a pretty good buy for someone if it is in as good of a condition as it appears.

And you have a recent survey you can look at before making an inspection trip
"A survey was performed for insurance purposes in September 2016 containing the following information. The full survey is available on request."

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

The description says retractable daggerboard and appears to be copy and paste of advertising material. Specs say centerboard. Probably a typo.

C36 Description says "Keel: center board", pics show a dagger board. Some of these C36s have a history, google's your friend. Still an attractive price.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

Under the tab "View full specifications":

"Specs
Builder: Corsair Marine
Designer: Corsair Marine
Flag of Registry: United States
Keel: Centerboard
Hull Shape: Trimaran"

Under the tab "Description":

"The Corsair 36 features a shallow draft with retractable dagger board & rudder for exploring"

But I digress.

And the 36' is just about right for a couple to cruise the Caribbean on....plus the great view from the settees.

I'd love to cruise on it for a year or two.
