another westsail....
Sailboats For Sale — SAIL FAR YACHTS
i've been a sailboat-junkie for a while now and have to say that it does seem that there are soooooo many more gorgeous boats (of course, this is a personal taste thing) for sale at a decent price in North America (most often loaded too) than where i am in europe. i've yet to find ma bonheur over here...
in any case. this thread is so much fun!
thanks Steadman!

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
Sorry that I did not post this one a few months back (I'm sure it's sold) but would love to hear if anyone here went to see it. Was on craigslist for $22 thousand and it is a S2 11c, Which Ive read good things about on a number of different points sailing, construction and so on. This particular boat the owner did a series of films on the different jobs he's done repairing it. And the owner was really good I would not want to do what he did , ( which makes me rethink buying any boat, I think if you watch you'll know what i mean) you can look it up on Youtube and the name of the channel or whatever they call it is "Down in the Islands".
Seeing what he did I would have loved to have it and a good price.

Port Isabel is surrounded by salty water. Under power it’s possible to be in the gulf in under an hour.

Westsail 32 an hour east of Toronto Canada. Looks like a decent blue water boat. $20,000 cdn. The seller replies quickly to messages, but indicates he is short on time. There is a story there, I bet. The pictures look like a a phone pic of a computer screen.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
Tartan 34C (the C just means "classic", the older model, not the newer 34) $14,000 cdn. Located east of Toronto Canada. The Tartan 34 is a decent bluewater boat with shallow draft. This one looks like its had the hull done really well. Also, I'm a yanmar fan. If only it had a tiller instead of a wheel (I like a tiller). Anyway, a lot of boat for not a lot of money.
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details...equestSource=b
FROM THE AD:
A TARTAN 34C FOR SALE, LYING IN BRIGHTON ON. A LONG LIST OF EQUIPMENT COMES WITH THIS BOAT, INCLUDING CRADLE AND WINTER COVER. BOTTOM HAS BEEN REDONE HULL IN IMMACULATE CONDITION. CDN FUNDS. FOR VIEWING PLEASE CALL 613-391-9745 AND BOB WILL ANSWER.
Apparently BOB likes to yell, or has very little computer experience. Bob says his ad has generated a lot of local interest. But the ad remains posted. This is another ad without decent pictures.
