Hi Don.

I have just requested joining the Plastic Classics group, and wanted to introduce myself. I have just purchased Eoc, a 1966 Buchan 37, which I think meets the description of a Classic Plastic. I expect to take possession of the vessel sometime in the next week or two, and look forward to joining the discussions about sailing, maintaining, and restoring this beautiful classic boat of the Pacific Northwest.

I am studying up on sailing NORTH from SoCal. I am currently in Berkeley - planning for the trip down --and back!

You have a columbia 26 and I noticed you commented on at least one Sailing North thread. I have a Columbia 10.7.

By the way, with you being a Moderator do you have any advice why all the pictures I try to post on this forum are upside down? Don't have the problem elsewhere.

They moved the lower shrouds out with the cap shrouds with hull number 9- guess who has hull #8! I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like you could run the jib sheets inside the shrouds since the tracks are mid deck- if desired anyway if you only roll it out to 90% or so, something I will probably play with.

Be sure to give me a heads up if you're ever coming up to the Bay Area!
