re:
"Connected or not:
The oeSENC message window about available charts are showing up before the Canvas-MUI are loaded. If I then click the oeSENC message OpenCPN shows: "Not responding" until load of the MUI bars. It would be more relevant if that message is not shown until it can accept a OK-click?"

How long is the time between the oeSENC message box appearance, until the MUI bar appears? More than 1 second?

Thanks
Dave

Dave..
re: "How long is the time between the oeSENC message box appearance, until the MUI bar appears? More than 1 second?"

Yes! Two scenarios appears: Either about 7 or 50 seconds. The total time between main and canvas MUI bars are repeatably close to one minute. The oeSENC message time to show up differs. See the attached time table.
I've also tested the same on another, even slower, Win10 PC. There I don't see these long time delays at start up. The oeSENC message and the canvas MUI bars appears withing some seconds. The time between oeSENC message and the canvas MUI bars is about one second. No problem.
So, this may be some Windows 10 individual interference? Not many other seems to have noticed the same? If so, let's quit this if it's just my HP-PC?

Thanks
Håkan

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

Dave..

And the good news:
Commit "Correct initial load plugin chart display persistence." v 5.1.707 may have solved the lack of persistence of oeSENC chart at O restart. Out of ten restarts non was loading a raster instead of the oeSENC. Brilliant!
I've copied 5.1.707 to Vagspel for a test as well. I'll be back on this.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

Hi Dave,

the latest upgrade of the Oesenc plugin works with the Oesenc dongle.

Only another minor problem is still present.

I'am using here at home an GPS mouse with the setup in SignalK.

After a clean config and with the input from signalK.

The automatic server discovery shows an ip adress, but that does not work.

Simple changing this adress to localhost and switching off the automatic server discovery then is works.

Regards,

Bram

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

Is there a way to set color manually for the font in yellow tooltips used over charts. If I use dark themes
on raspberry pi it displays white font over yellow back ground and it is unreadable.

Thanks,
—MG

I've copied 5.1.707 to Vagspel for a test as well. I'll be back on this.
The solution seems stable for my different Win10. Also Vagspel report positive.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

Dave..
More about the text objects and points for LNDRGN.
If you hide the text by e.g. "T" the points are still shown. See pictures here:
https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/f134/opencpn-version-5-1-620-rc1-test-235885-8.html#post3179294

New: This behavior is not for oeSENC only but also for pure S-57/ENC charts.
It's a inconsistency in some way since the points for e.g. cardinal marks disappears when hiding but not for texts.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

Just noticed the following on macos:

- MBTiles overlay not working on top of S63 or oesenc charts

MBTiles work with CM93 as basemap, but not when using S63 or Oesenc.
They are displayed as black areas on top of the charts when switched on.

Can anyone verify this on other platforms ?

My setup: MacOS 10.14.6 (Mojave), OpenCPN 5.1.707 (git 8e7494747)

I'm not sure how cloudsmith works, but Ive noticed over the past two days, no Mac .pkg or .dmv repositories are getting built, while new releases of others are available. Perhaps these changes only affect non MacOS builds?

Hmm... No churn here for 6 days. Where's the new thread?

Dave, you've improved OpenCPN's performance with mbTiles tremendously, & that's great. But there are still some issues. I have separated my mbTiles by map-type & put them in different chart-groups, so ArcGIS is 1, Bing is 2 ... & Navionics is 5.

When OpenCPN is started for the first time, it wakes up on the chart group where it was when it was shut down. But switching to a new chart-group can take a LONG time, especially with my big mbTiles. And there's NO indication that OpenCPN's doing anything! No confirmation that it's even received the key-stroke.

It would be nice if it put up some sort of progress bar, or even just changed the mouse to an "I'm busy" pointer, since OpenCPN is essentially locked up until it digests all the charts in the new group.

Pretty easy to find:
