This is Sebastien Rosset. I recently started working on a couple bug fixes/enhancements for OpenCPN, which is an amazing tool. Thank you so much for everything that you have done.

The reason for reaching out is to ask your advice before I do a bit of work on OpenCPN for Android. Are you ok if I submit a PR with build instructions for Android?

Given all the work you have put into the entire project, it's perfectly reasonable to generate money on the Android app store, whether it's for maintenance costs or anything else. Personally I'd be happy to pay $100. It occurred to me that if I create instructions for Android, then potentially it could undercut the revenue stream. So before I do anything, I wanted to ask you directly whether you would be ok with that or not. Just to be clear, I don't have the instructions yet; I wanted to ask you first.

My interest is to contribute to the app, which means I would need to be able to build on Android.

It's been a while since I tried to log into the Android openCPN forum, and I see that I've been banned for spam.
I was also banned here on CF because I stupidly had an easy password (that was reused) and I think I was published in a leak.
Anyway, can I get back in and change the password to something more secure this time?
My username over there is 'B73Cfill' on your website under the AOCPN forum.

I am likely david.sharman, though I have never gained entry as it keeps telling me my password is incorrect.

I just tried again and the error message says you already have an account under public -at-hpeer.com and I need to use a different email.

I believe I have done that in the past using howardpeer-at-gmail.com.

That does not work either I think.

Are you Dave Register, the author of Android opencpn app? I've been trying to contact you for a few months: by email (no response), by google play store (same), by the android forum (not possible to register currently). There is an issue with the app, it does not install the oesenc plugin correctly, which means I bought a nice navigation app but it's unable to load any charts. Can you help with that?
