Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
This is a "noteworthy find" IMO. They aren't selling a boat, but it appears a boat mold and workshop!

As time has passed since my father Rex Kaisers death in 2015, my family would now like to offer his entire contents of his boat building shop, located on the Christiana river in Wilmington Delaware. We will also be listing his (+/- 1 acre) boat shop building and property with a commercial realtor in the coming days, which is not included in the sale of Hull, deck mold, tooling and inventory stated for sale in the information described below. Feel free to call us for details if interested in the two separate items as a package.
Included is a completed hull, deck and all tooling that has been developed when boat was in production in the 80's. There is a deck and rudder mold but no hull mold. Interior has bulkheads and floor members in place but is not finished. Items needed to complete the build include tanks, engine, keel ballast, spars and rigging, deck hardware, sails, cushions, electronics. We are most interested in a qualified marine boat builder that we can come to reasonable terms on an appraised value for all of the inventory we possess in our shop~ for hull, deck, molds, all shop contents including lumber, patterns, hardware, overhead hoist, table saw, band saw, joiner, drill press, hand tools, etc. Located in Wilmington, DE. Can be seen by appointment. All reasonable offers made by qualified yacht builders encouraged!

Yes, this seems like a very nice boat. I wish it were closer to Philadelphia...
Time to do some research on the make and model.

Dreamtime 33' Morgan OI for sale
15K with an awesome gear list - e.g. ssb(!), davits, dinghy w. outboard, honda 2000i, watermaker(!), excellent ground tackle/windlass, lsz1 sewing machine(!) and on and on.... not to mention the customizations and cleanliness and documentation.
kubota diesel has 3200 hours - if that is an issue for you go ahead and drop 15K on a new engine and you're still at 30K.
truly one of the best deals I have ever seen - assuming she is as seaworthy as she seems.
i'm soooo tempted but we just bought a house

Yes, hard to find an aft cabin 10.6 meter. I was on this boat ( Suzanne and Gord ) in August 2016 in Waupoos. Beautiful interior. They lost their main anchor that weekend, so that is why the CQR!

1982 Tanzer 10.5 Pilothouse sloop. 34 feet. $41.9K Canadian.
An interesting boat, not many of these about. It is older, but appears to have been looked after and has some good gear upgrades (except that propane water heater makes me shudder, sorry). Espar heater. Yanmar diesel. The 35lb CQR seems a bit small, but that's easily remedied.
Some useful features for a cruising boat - it has 3 cabins, including an aft cabin. Could be good for a family. Nice interior. Good upholstery and canvas.
This one is in Belleville, to the east of Toronto on the north shore of Lake Ontario.

They used to build these nearby so I stopped at the factory a couple of times. Best known for their quirky pilothouse boats which I always liked. Their shoal draft reflects the skinny water we have on the West coast of Florida. I'd consider the builder above average but maybe not high end. This would be a great boat for the Keys & the Bahamas.

2006 Hunter 27 approx $30K US ($40,000 Canadian).
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-sailboat/osh...oat/1415151122
Another Ontario boat, Cobourg, north shore of Lake Ontario, east of Toronto.
This is a small boat, but could make a good singlehander or part time cruiser for a couple. Shallow draft, inboard diesel, in mast furler. Not great pictures (none of interior) but looks to be in reasonable condition.

Exactly! and, from what i've read, replacing the engine in a Baba 30 is pretty much straight forward
i'd give little Suzie a bright red Beta! of course, if she has been on the hard for three years, there are lots of little things to repair and replace; but, this boat is such a babe!
you have a vindo? if so and if you have the time, please pm me and tell me about it. i've run across a few for sale in europe and am curious

That Baba is gorgeous, no doubt. Too much brightwork for me though. Sailing dreams have more rum and less Japan Drier.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
I've never seen a Baba priced anywhere close to this. Crazy good deal on an absolutely gorgeous boat. I'd also have to agree, if any boat deserves a new Beta it's this one.
