Re: Catamaran Vs MonoHull The Ultimate comparison
Be assured that certain threads will trigger a closer look for hurt feelings than others..
On the other hand, so far, this thread gets a gold star for its humour and gentle ribbing.
I have a monohull for sailing the locale near where I live in the UK... there is a photo next to my name. However when I sail in the Med, I have use of my favourite vessel a multihull. For different reasons I love them all. Im not blind to the advantages of one hull over two in certain circumstances, and not blind to the advantages of two hulls over one in certain circumstances.
It sailing people...... we love sailing in what we like to go out in. Enjoy!

Re: Catamaran Vs MonoHull The Ultimate comparison
Sailing boats should be leaners, that makes it fun.
Living boats should be level, that makes it enjoyable.

Fly a hull! Of course, this requires a large measure of commitment and attentiveness on a cruising cat.
Or you could just lean your head. Same difference.
Oh, now I get it. For a given length, the leaner gets to enjoy the passage for longer .

Not silly at all! I like to ride lame horses that limp! I like airplane flights so rough that all the drinks fall off the tray tables! I like to introduce more roll motion to the pitch, yaw and heave! The more the better!
YEah, leaning is fun.

Why on earth would any one want to go slower dragging their toe rail through the water at some inconvenient angle?
This is the civilized way to sail at 20 kts SOG.

And this is the fun (scary?) way! Without the $4 million pricetag...
Admittedly, wouldn't want to cross an ocean with that sort of press of sail on!

Agreed!
At some point they might as well jump in and swim, it's not like they could get any wetter fully submerged.
No thanks, I like to stay as dry as possible with stability and fairly level decks.
