Virtual Sailing with Real Weather

Is there a program out there that allows you to sail in real time with real weather. I would love to sail my courses in real time to get an idea of the time and weather expected on long voyages.

There is Sailonline.org but it's limited to specific races and locations departing at particular times.

Anyway, if you're sailing to real-time weather on the program, how is that going to give you any valuable insight? The weather will be different when you're actually out there.

Yes, the weather will be different. Before I crossed the Atlantic in June, I used to fly over it in a real time weather simulator in June and got an idea of the weather at that time of year. Thanks for replying. I am participating in the Volvo virtual Ocean Race. I have no extra add ons on the Emma Lou. She is the last one in my group The Indian Ocean is calm.

You can use it with an Internet connection if close to shore or else use iridium GO device If off shore
