Let it go already!!! No person endures life unscathed from emotional or physical abuse. Be it by the hand of authorities, teachers, parents, religious figures, a spouse, a friend, government, an employer, a business associate, a sibling, a family member, a neighbor........on and on

My grandma always told me that no mater where you think you are in life, there would always be more better off than me, and more worse off than me. In other words be grateful AND have compassion.

I could go up against any horror story posted here with one of my own. I can also count 100 to one positive outcomes I've been "forced to endure". My point is stop putting the magnifying glass to the negative, (although horrific and shocking it may have been to you), and stop ignoring the many beautiful experiences you've been "forced to endure". Surely the negative experiences spark anger, weird that extraordinary experiences, (or just simple happy daily experiences) don't seem to spark enough enthusiasm to balance spread sheet for some people.)

Here is a tune to sing to be grateful for the many small, yet fabulous instances that grace our lives. We here can add more than the lyrics present...

I bought an air fryer for my daughter, her birthday request! So far the results are just OK. What have your results been?

Seems a strange response to the quoted post. But sometimes (usually) I miss things.

Yeah, I think I just read that our good doc witnessed a traffic fatality, so opinions about air fryers may not exactly be on the top of his list right now.

As for the back & forth below, I thought Dale's comment was less about the mere fact that sailorchic decided to post, and more about blaming the perceived tone & tenor of the posts by guys on testosterone. Kinda like a guy complaining about too much estrogen in the room & sluffing off complaints by women to them being "overly emotional." Ironically, I don't think we've reached that level from any of the guys in these threads. But hey, there's still time.

Re: Single Women Living Aboard and Cruising... an honest look

Life is strange. I think sometimes I live in a twilight world of life continuance like on CF, and then doing the best I can to help someone to just breathe.

The para medics here are pretty good. Given the situation, and blood loss, I went with them to emergency and we did everything and some to keep the chance open. We lost 1 minute before arriving but kept going just in case...

Maria Jesus, my receptionist came to get me. When we came back she just hugged me and went home. Sometimes all you need is a hug to realise how life is good.

I didnt get the airfryer. My youngest sister begged it off me. It was a Phillips.

Im truly shocked that women find CF aggressive. Seriously. We will need to talk about this because the mod team comprises some pretty sharp women and we will find a way to fix the problem. It bothers me that that is the perception.

Sorry ladies. Truly.

Re: Single Women Living Aboard and Cruising... an honest look

Hello, everyone,

I'm not sure how much I want to say here, but kudos to Gamayun, she nailed why I quit posting here for a while, and it took weavis' apology to bring me back. Thank you, weavis.

This link, previously posted by john61ct, may help some of you who want to see, for me it almost completely explains why this thread went so awry: https://amp.theguardian.com/sustaina...ible-privilege

John also posted some other links: I am pretty sure those would be pretty threatening to many of the people (both genders) on here, and you might want to give them a miss.

For those who want to see, thanks.

And @ Gadagirl, thank you for putting the plea for focusing on the positive. There are many reasons to do so, and I am glad that you are. I strive for love and compassion, as well as fun. Still have a long way to go.

Ann

(Quote) Its not burble Phil when it concerns individuals. Look at our own catamaran owner who took his family round the world, kid got sick, went to drs, docs cleared him and then the child got sick again and they had to be rescued... so much gossip and talk and opinions that no one knows the truth about what really happened. Only he does and at this point, RH will not talk about it again because the prejudice, correct or not is there. (Quote)

If by RH you mean Rebel Heart you got some things wrong there..
It was not a catamaran but a poorly fixed up monohull he'd been fixing up in Cali then had to do more work on it in Mexico to try and make it seaworthy..
They set of from Mexico, got 700 or so miles out and had to be rescued because the boat was in trouble.. the speculation was whether the child really was as sick as claimed.
Chinese whispers do that.. each time someone else tells the tale..

Dr. Weavis, perhaps start by reading this link; I thought that this link (from post #305 by John) informs this thread quite well:

Moderator Ann, thank you for bringing John's links to our attention again.

CF is not all things to all people. No forum is. Different forums for different folks. If you don't like it, find another forum you do. The moderators can't and shouldn't try to change that.

Mac.....this coming from you smacks a bit of insincerity. Others can chime in if am I wrong, but you're skating on a sharp edge. After all the nice comments that have been posted today, please go back and re-read your comments on this thread. Then give it a thunk. You tend to stir things and generally not in a nice way.
