Aries Windvane Self Steering

I am selling an Aries Windvane, I think it is a Model 3 with a fold up servo. It came off a Hans Christian 43 which has a canoe stern and wheel steering. It includes all the hardware used in that installation, but no blocks or control lines. There is very little corrosion except on two of the clamping blocks used on the lower struts, visible in the pictures. Everything moves, but is a little stiff, it will require lubrication.

It is in Seattle, I am willing to crate and ship it. I'm asking for $900, plus shipping costs.

Re: Aries Windvane Self Steering

Does anybody know how the folding rudder hinge part is secured? In the photos the spring is the only thing isn’t there supposed to be something else that covers the hinge?

Re: Aries Windvane Self Steering

Looks like the spring is attached to a sleeve that slides down to "lock" the shafts together
