Hi goat, thanks for your reply--I had forgotten all about contacting you!
I appreciate your input. It is too bad that so few were made and ultimately the companies rather abrupt demise.
Also, we had a knock-off Kiwi Aries on our old 29' sloop (which we lived on for 15 years, raised a child, and circumnavigated); we put that on after the S/S Navik vane failed on the way to NZ, and it performed perfectly all the way round.
Most of the boats are more concerned with dinghy stowage/security/convenience than with long distance sailing. If you're a singlehander, get a vane. **** happens to electrics. Gary is thinking of going to San Blas later, he's in Zihuatanejo right now getting a root canal. Cheers,
Jessie
My interest in researching Tanzer 10.5's has brought me to you--I just joined the forum in order to contact you.
I am certainly finding information difficult to come by on these vessels and was hoping that you might be able to steer me towards some online resources, where I could learn about her construction, etc.
I realize that you no longer own your Tanzer but if you have any personal insights that you would care to offer, I would be most grateful.
