Re: columbia defender hull #60

Well finally got it all put together . Charged up to 14.2 just below balance voltage on bms
Checked cell voltages .
Cell 1) 3.549
Cell 2) 3.55
Cell 3) 3.551
Cell 4) 3.55
See no reason to top balance.
Capacity test of the 240ah bank revealed (IMO they sent me the wrong cells ) a capacity of 264.8 ah ( 10% above rated capacity )
Now I just have to take it all apart to install in the boat .
Hopefully that will be done sometime before spring.

Re: columbia defender hull #60

ok don here ya go now I have this posted in one of the Lfp threads not sure what one so .

492 for the batteries includes shipping .
147 for the 200amp bms.
48. For the meter with the 350 amp shunt.
Cost between the 150amp shunt and the 350amp shunt was insignificant.
( get the bigger one )
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Battery-Mon...edirect=mobile

So the bank total is 687 for the complete bank plus the parts for the case. ( I had them on hand ).
Got the bms and the cells factory direct

Re: columbia defender hull #60

So if my math is right that is less than two T-125s alone by nearly $200? Hmmmmmm, Ok I think you should package that kit for Columbia 29 owners exclusively!
I look forward to the testing phase! And how is that engine coming along?

As to the testing of the battery see post 100 above.

As to the engine i finally got the motor mounts.
$125. From a second hand chandlers on the east coast ( vs 650 factory new) or even 450 from fisheries. )
