Defender?

Has anyone bought anything from Defender? Were you happy with the transaction?

I've had very good luck with Defender but have found Hamilton Marine to have much lower prices and the personal service is great.

Top notch company. I have spent a couple of thousand with them over the years, and I have always received great service, and competitive pricing. When we had our old Taylors diesel heater, they went to great lengths to get information and locate parts that would retrofit the unit we had. They put me in direct contact with their vendor to get installation information, and shipped when they said they would. The only negative experience I had with them was on a discontinued part. I ordered it, and when it didn't show up after a few weeks, I called and they told me that it was not available. They did make efforts to make up for the mistake. THey are very customer service oriented.

Defender a good outfit. Prices generally 30% less than West Marine (since West bought Boat US prices were raised 30% each year).

We certainly have spent a bundle of money with Defenders over the past few years. Ellis, I am suprised to see your post that Hamilton Marine is less expensive; guess we will have to give them another look. What kind of examples were you referring to? Thanks.
