Spring tides uses to happen with full or new moon, and if it happens with closer position of the sun they are even bigger.
Opposite to Neap tides that there is not so much influence of moon and sun and are tides with the lowest amplitude.
maybe this link would clarify your question:https://ntslf.org/tgi/definitions#SnippetTab

Re: OpenCPN Internationalization ( i18n )

Spring tides use to happens with the exchange of seasons and if in those exchanges are together with the age of the moon is full or new they are even bigger.

you'll see that spring tides are always closer to:
21st March, first point of Aries, beginning of spring, sun with declination 0
21st June, summer equinox, beginning of summer, max sun positive declination.
23rd September, first point of balance, beginning of fall, sun declination 0
21st December, winter equinox, beginning of winter, max sun negative declination.

in my area the spring tides always connected with the age of the moon and close to those dates and like end November, 2nd part of December, 2nd part of March, end of August, end of September and 2nd part of October.

Hello all translators,
there is a new version of GPS Odometer, v0.8.1, in beta with some new functionality and hence lacking some translations, see also the GPS Odometer thread. Would appreciate your assistance with translations.
Feel free to suggest changes/alterations if you find things that ought to be changed or is unclear.
I will handle Swedish (if I can recall how to do it ).

I did yesterday the Spanish translation.

I haven´t found in beta catalogue the version 0.8.1 and 0.8.0 in master catalogue is not allowing me to install, it installs but after that not available and after re-started OCPN it says that has been uninstalled. ???

Re: OpenCPN Internationalization ( i18n )

Corsair, thanks for your translation effort.
Your problem is really odd and something that may not be directly related to the GPS Odometer, I suspect it has something to do with the versions and/or FE2 associations.
- What is your platform and which file did you install?
- Are there any clues in the OpenCPN log file?
Perhaps we should continue this in the GPS Odometer thread?

Re: OpenCPN Internationalization ( i18n )

Never getting things right!
The GPS Odometer 0.8.1 is not in beta, my mistake as I failed to change in CMakeLists.txt, sorry !
Downloading from Cloudsmith should work fine though. Please use that.
