Matt,
Also see manual: Hot Keys and Shortcuts.

Shortcut Keys Discussion Thread
http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...st-112272.html
Beginning effort to systematize and organize shortcuts and develop a macro language.

One recent consideration is for Tablet controls, with the Dell Windows 8 Venue being one target being considered by bdcat, in a large sea of potential tablets.

Your input and thoughts about shortcuts and tablets would be appreciated on these threads.

Re: OpenCPN General

I have, through a splitter, a second monitor outside to see my chart in opencpn. I am now looking for a possibility to connect a tablet. Has anyone experience with a sunlight readable tablet that I can connect through wifi with my navigation computer. I tried with Airdisplay and Splashtop but this was not so successfull.
I heard about a program that sends an image of your screen and you could see it on another computer in a browser.

Re: OpenCPN General

What about iDisplay? I haven't tried it but, like yourself, am interested in finding a way to use an Android tablet as a remote display for OpenCPN.

Re: OpenCPN General

ReinM,

Earlier I suggested you search this forum for Tore's posts related to Tablets and Teamviewer, so now I've done that for you, see below

Re: OpenCPN General

@rgleason - Can't speak for ReinM, but I'm not interested in installing OpenCPN on an Android device, but rather (if possible), just use the Android tablet as a slave / duplicate display.

Re: OpenCPN General

Prof why don't you read the post and the ones that follow? Also read sin bad tore's other posts about this topic. He controls opencpn from his andriod tablet. OpenCPN is installed on his laptop. There are many programs similar to teamviewer vnc

Re: OpenCPN General

Go to System Settings / Security first Tab and switch to No Constraints.
After installation switch back to prevent installation of malware.

Re: OpenCPN General

just found this thread and have been trying to get a Pharos USB GPS receiver to work on a mac without parallels to windows. and finally found it at this web site.

Pharos USB GPS on OSX (and how to modify a .kext) | DataLinkControl

Not sure if it was already posted before but got it working following this. save anyone the trouble in the future if you are trying to do the same. takes a little work in terminal window but it does work. just follow instructions step by step.
