    Hi Rick,

Out of Lerking mode for just a few seconds.....

Thought I would send through a word of thanks for the stuff you and the Dev team do.

Lots of fantastic work going on. Latest efforts look really nice -

I deleted the old repo you were watching so thought I would do you a courtesy and let you know ....

I have a stable release and a dev fork "5.9.0" on my repo at the moment.

PM can mean a lot of things! Using Cruisers Forum messaging application. Ratty1978 email is dbrezina at rcn.com. If this is only about weatherfax, however, I may not be your guy. I'm in Chicago, and while I can be out of range of shore connections, sometimes sailing 300 NM, I've been unable to get the modem function working on a portable radio receiver. Plus I'm in a gap between Gulf, Pacific and Atlantic coverage.

    Hi Rick,

I am an IT professional and have time on my hands and I’d like to create an iOS app for the project. Is this of interest?

    Regards,
    Brendan

    Rick,

I've just read through your well done manual on "The Connections." In it, you mention receiving an AIS feed for San Francisco! I'm hoping that you might also be in the Bay area as I'm having difficulty sending a route to my Navico/Simrad autopilot. I've been using Coastal Explorer and all data behaved well in that program, but there seems so many technical settings in O. While your directions are very well done, some items are a bit over my head.

Could you possibly be available for phone or team viewer support? I'm more than willing to pay you in advance for any help. My boat is in Glen Cove Marina but I would also gladly dock in a marina close to you.

    Thanks for considering.

    Bonjour Rick,

Maybe you can do something ? following the advice of the forum administrator, I have write to an moderator (a64pilot) about this request, but I don't got any answer. Do you think it's possible ?
    Thanks
    Franck

    Bonjour,

As you are moderator, mabe you can make some arrangements in the forum database for this request:

I am uploading the version 2.3 of Xinutop (dedicated marine OS) and some others utilities. As I had not experience about forums in 2012 when I started, I have create many threads with this same subject and I have observed that it's confusing and some people ask me questions which they are in an other thread.

Is it possible to mix all concerned threads in only one, classified by date and called "Xinutop, dedicated marine OS" ?

If you can't do it, could you indicate me the good person for that ?

    Have a good day
    Amicalement
    Franck

Hi Rick, thanks for the build for windows.
Not sure what has happened but the OD 1.5 thread seems to closed. Is it possible to re-enable it?

    Hi Rick,
I am away cruising at the moment. Would you be able to build a windows installable of the latest OD 1.5.22? The one currently on my releases does not appear to be working for some people.

    Thanks
    Jon

Hi Rick - the MacOS section you added to the Weather Routing wiki looks good.

I would be happy to help out with editing/expanding documentation for OpenCPN. I just may be a little slow responding at present as I have a major job going on with my boat at present. The other issue for me is that I am often out of communication range for telephone/internet as we travel in very remote parts of the world. But, that said, keen to help.

The other area I have spent a lot of time on is Grib file downloads over an Iridium 9575 satellite phone/AxcessPoint wifi for the Mac, and RedPoint Optimizer for the iPhone. If there is any interest here, then I can do a writeup for this.

    My contact details are:
    Kevin Hiscox, Mat-Lau III
    Lagoon 500
    Panama Cell: +507 6017-3874
    Sat-Phone: +881632648785

PS - Cruisers Forum did not allow me to send my email address??? How do I get around this?

    Hi Rick,

mate, lontime OCPN user (windows), ive just bought an android tablet, the app seems to be running ok but i'm having massive issues with the forum. I cant authenticate my email.

Because of this contacting you through the cruisers forum is the only way to contact you.

I've tried multiple times, checked my spam bought the paid version of the app.....

anyway my email is jpwales90 at gmail dot com if you could manually send me an authentication that would be great.

    Cheers, Jesse
