Disappear from https://www.cruisersforum.com. I’ve enjoyed my time here, thank you. As far as, “you can never leave,” I never returned. 🪂 Quite possibly, another time. Later 🐅

Re: OpenCPN General

I have the free version of Opencpn on my Android phone as a backup with NOAA raster charts for Florida.

I'm based in St. Petersburg, Fl. The problem I have is that when I look at charts from Crystal River on north on the west coast of Florida, I can only see large-scale maps that list depths in fathoms and don't show many navigation markers.

I'm assuming this is the result of a setting somewhere, but I can't tell what. I have downloaded variations of the raster file, including Florida, Coast Guard district 7 and all, with the same results.

That is very odd as a first post. You were not "opted in" until you made it. I can only assume you have some other account here.

Under Quick Links->subscribed threads you can opt out of notifications.

That version is not supported. Only the paid version is supported with updates and a forum for discussion.

Re: OpenCPN General

Use Chartdownloader and update your charts for USCG04

Then rebuild the charts and database.

Then zoom into St Petersburg and got to Options > User and adjust the sliders for Chart Object Scale and ENC sounding factor.

Don't bother with the free version, it is worthless. Get the paid version, it is much more current and as Terry says it is supported.

Re: OpenCPN General

Hi All,

Random OpenCPN question...I am trying to add the Squiddio/Squidd.io plugin to OpenCPN on my Mac Laptop. I have v 5.6.2 and when I go to Settings>Plugins I cannot find it on the list.

I tried downloading the plugin and then Importing it, but although I don't get an error, it also does not appear on the list or become an option on the toolbar etc.

Any ideas or suggestions for how I might be able to install this plugin? It would be cool to be able to see info on anchorages and things from my laptop.

Thanks all!

Now I don't have a Mac so I can't see what's available for that, but just to be sure: You did use the button "Update Plugin Catalog: master" Right?
