Best bottom paint for sailboat on a lift?

I have heard that some bottom paint doesn't like being out of the water. I intend to put my 46' lagoon on a lift, so ideally I need a bottom paint that is ok being out of the water most of the time.

I still want bottom paint because we may take long trips away from home.

Thoughts?

I hate bottom paint. Pretty poor results from all of them for effort/expense.

I think I will go with a slick coat next time, Seacoat VX10, it might suit you ?

It has no antifoul properties but is a hard foul release coating that lasts up to 10 years. They say at 8kn the foul can't stay attached and slides off. However there is nothing to slow the growth and will need to be moved often or scrubbed more often.

It is hard enough to beach the boat and can dry out without issue and the growth comes of easily. It says it improves speed and fuel economy.

I'm skeptical, but there is no magic fix out there and I hate the idea of another round of antifoul.

You’re best off looking up the different manufacturers and reading the labels online. You will want to find out what works best in your cruising area first, and then check whether it will retain its antifouling properties between dunkings.
