Autopilot Parts

I've recently replaced the wheel on my IP31. The new (Edson) wheel has slightly thicker spokes than the original Edson. While trying to reinstall the Raymarine 4000 MkII autopilot wheel drive I found that I needed a different size spoke clamp insert . The drive kits come from the factory with two sets of these rubber inserts: one set is marked "12" and the other "16." One just chooses the size that fits one's installation and discards the other.

Here's my problem: Raymarine won't just sell three of the proper inserts. They make you buy three complete spoke clamp kits @$24.00. So $76.00 US for three simple rubber inserts.

Does anyone have three of the 16mm inserts lying around from installing their Wheel Pilot that they could help me out with?

Re: Autopilot Parts

Trade you 3 16s for 3 12s.

PM me if we have a trade.

Think I have him covered. I didn't throw the larger inserts away, just had to find them.

Gotta give kudos to the USPS. Inserts arrived this afternoon. Thanks Frank. You're a prince.

Re: Autopilot Parts

I am still a little surprised. Inserts were in a small photo mailer and wasn't sure how it might be classified (pregnant envelope). Just couldn't seem to make it to the PO so finally stuck 2 stamps and put it in the mailbox. They don't deliver/ pick up our mail until 4 or 5. Saturday afternoon to Monday, Florida to Virginia that is impressive.

It is obvious that USPS has figured out their future is packages. Looks like they are getting the hang of it. Even Amazon would be envious.

Hope they fit,

Frankly
