crappy problem, the joke(r) is on me

I put a new joker valve (aptly named) 2 days ago. yesterday, I find that the bowl is full of nasty water again. the 410's holding tanks are well above the toilet, which puts a lot of pressure on the joker valve since there is no way to fully evacuate the waste line.

I'm thinking of adding a flapper check valve, but not convinced that that would permanently solve the problem. i'd love to hear other solutions.

Schip...

I can't help here as I haven't had a similar setup and don't know shizzit...

Your post title however is perfect and should attract many jokers who know their crap backwards and forwards...

When you pump out keep pumping till the bowl is empty and then give 20 fast sharp pumps and pump air up your pipes. It will empty the pipes and theres nothing to come back down.

Had that same problem on my Prout 31. Installed a Natures head composter and never looked back. No fears of a bad joker valve and no smell. One can install a valve to shut it off, but all it takes is one time to forget to close.

Did you clean out the pipe that the joker valve sits in??--I've seen them so clogged with scale that the valve can't properly close.

Vinegar is your friend--partially flush a cupful every week and let sit overnight.

You should check out the vent, it may be restricted.

If you havea Jabsco toilet then replace what they call the bottom seal. It's 15 bucks at West Marine and simple to do. Buy two... I have the same problem when the seal gets old....
