I find that I can put an ounce or less of one of the above in a glass, and nurse it for almost an hour. Mmmmmm.
I'm loving all the love for Lagavulin in this thread. I should have made it its own entry in the poll.

Dun Bheagan I have not tried. So thanks!

Now that is what i'm talking about. Nice one, Joe.

I find (literally) two drops of water in the cask strength opens up the flavor and cuts the ethanol.

Re: What's your drop of choice?

i've always had a soft spot for cognac, mostly Le Courvoisier
of course, grapes not barley, but pretty easily found in france
(think it's the french brandy)

BUT ever since i watched Outlander (twice!! and i'm no netflix-addict), i find myself longing for whisky ...no idea why

thanks for the suggestions!

Glenturret 15 year single malt as the speyside ( sherry iaked casks used )
Islay malts in no particular order ( for the smokey peat)

Lots of Islay fans here. Has anyone tried Ardberg Uigeadail or Laphroiag's cask strength offerings? They're available here.

Since my inveterate bourbon snobbery led me to cask strengths, my tastebuds have become somewhat dulled to the weaker stuff.

But before I drop 80+ bucks on one of these, I want to know they are amazing.
