The reason the English don't join in with their north american cousins celebrating Thanksgiving?

If they took a day off to celebrate every anniversary of turning up on some foreign shore , f***ing over the natives and stealing their land they would never go to work.

So, there were a couple of backpackers hiking a steep trail, and late in the day they came to a bush hostel and luxuriated in hiring a room for the night. No electricity, but there was a kero lamp which lit things up whilst they sacked out, very tired indeed, and they forgot to extinguish the lamp. In the morning, much refreshed, they decided to stay over and do some local day hikes. They noticed that the wick in the lamp had burned all the way down, so they stopped in the office and requested a new one.

They were refused outright, and when they asked why... well, everyone knows that there is no wick for the rested.

Er… quite a lot of sediments and volcanics supersaturated with CO2. To say nothing of clathrate hydrate deposits all along the continental shelf. Millions of little kegs, waiting to be tapped.

Some time ago, two mates were cruising in northern Australia when one of them got bitten in the groin by a venomous sea snake.

His mate got him on board then went below to call for help via the radio.

The doctor told him that he had to go to his mate, pull down his pants, cut an “X” on his member then suck the poison out. If he didn’t his mate would die.

He went up to his mate who asked what the doctor had said.
The response was, “You’re going to die”.

Vet sez, 'Try these suppositorys - new product line - said to be very good'

A week later he turns up at a testing station with Covid symptoms, gets the text the next day - Positive.

He phones Clive 'Those pills the vet gave me were a waste of time, I might as well have stuck them up my arse'.
