Thanks for the link, Stu, but being fairly dense I still don't get Matt's joke/meme/mystery tableau with the batteries.

And BTW, I had seen the famous lady/cat meme before, but hadn't paid much attention to it at the time. Now that I know it to be famous, I still won't pay much attention, for it doesn't resonate with me at all. Matt is WAY younger than I am and lives in an alternate universe... perhaps this explains all!

For anyone unfamiliar with the eighties comedy scene in Australia, the name Rodney Rude will be unfamiliar. He was/is a particularly irreverent stand-up comedian.
One of his more famous routines was about a Head - born without arms, legs, body, and some of head's adventures growing up..
In the attached clip, the Head story starts around 2.06.
The sketch before is about a really ugly lesbian - so if gender identity bothers you, perhaps skip that bit. It's truly hilarious, but the eighties was a lot more sexist than today, so caution is recommended for those of a more sensitive disposition.

Well that joke was a bit flat.

I bet you can't look at the night sky and see lizards, snakes, and wombats either.
(Only one I have ever been able to see is Orion who for some reason is standing on his head.

Oh and the southern cross but that doesn't count cos its just a cross - in the south.
