Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I emailed the CL $25k Privilege saying that I was extremely interested, cash buyer and ready to go and inspect the boat immediately. I asked where is the boat and when can it be inspected. I received no reply.

The 98k Privilege is actually real . I met the owner and inspected the boat some months ago when it was at a private dock in S. Florida. The interior had been completely gutted due to termite infestation that had destroyed almost completely the woodwork. The rig and hull were structurally strong.

Basically from the outside it looked like a decent boat.
The owner had purchased a bunch of Nidacore to make new interior furniture.

There were no engines , only saildrives in unknown condition. The owner was adding a couple of outboards to move the boat to a place where he was planning to work on it . I almost bought it, but in the end couldn't agree on price and didn't pursue it any further.

I have no idea why he keeps posting only those 2-3 silly pictures. If it had been my boat I would've posted as many and as detailed as possible to show what the boat actually is and find the right buyer for such a project boat.

If that Privilege has a balsa core then those critters would be chomping on it too.

No. Privileges have always been foam (Divinycell by the time mine was built).

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I have no affiliation with this. I saw this ad and remembered the cheap multihull thread on CF.

I know she was listed by some broker but never got a nibble. Capt Phil

One of the 2 waterworld tris is (orma 60 i believe) for sale in Yamba NSW Australia. It was looking pretty decent in Hawaii a few years ago.

Lagoon 47 price reduced $36,501 to €130,000

I always liked these boats and this one is kinda cheap and a project so it's perfect here. It's a 1995 Lagoon 47 which needs some work, probably new engines and lots a new other stuff. The ad says it has newer standing rigging, generator and mainsail so that's a start. These were reasonably fast boats with good bridgedeck clearance so if the hull and other stuff is sound then it might be worth a look.
