I was curious as I had seen the CL listing provided by Sand Crab in 2017 and later and watched the price fall from USD129 to USD79 approx. The photos in the listing were identical to those in the YW listing I saw in 2017. So, I responded to the CL listing two days before it was flagged and removed. The first response simply said I should contact the sender at a personal address. Here is the second response I received via
email:

to me
Hi,
The
Privilege Catamaran is still available. It is in a good condition, no scratches, no damages and I have the clean title in hand. I'm selling it at this final price $25,000 because my husband passed away 2 months ago (he had a heart attack) and I want to sell it asap. Boat is in Wisconsin and i had prearranged the deal with American Shippers Line so my presence isn't necessary. They won't give me any
money until you receive and test the boat. It is at the
shipping company, ready to be delivered. The
shipping cost is included in the selling price! You got 5 days to test it and inspect. So if you want to make this deal I need the following details from you:-full name-shipping address-phone number. Once I got all the details, I will forward them to eBay and they will proceed with the order. They'll
email you with all the information that you need to complete this deal and also they will confirm that the deal is conducted through them and I'm a legitimate seller. Waiting for your email with the requested details. "
Several red
flags: When received, the first email time sent was GMT+8, so perhaps came via
west coast. Condition in CL was "excellent" , but when I requested recent photos, all I received were from the original YW 2017 listing. Also, no listing on ebay. And several other
flags.
The text of the msg above reminds me of those promises to share inheritance of Nigerian prince.
Now, I have previously seen the
project boat also on CL for USD98K, and I think it might be a different boat, though not sure. No matter; may as well be same scam with different approach.
