Even the original pictures looks like a grim interior let alone the other, up to date ones, posted.
Hoped anyone interested sees the second listing and doesn't get ripped off.

There is a very nice one for sail at Emsworth.

has anyone been to see this boat? It's been on the market for a while now and the price just dropped. I've got a sort of mediocre survey on it from 2016 and have been chatting with the guy but he's a little zany and swears up and down it's the best boat ever built and can do 20 knots etc. (lots of all caps in his email exchanges), if you catch my drift. Just wondering if it is worth the price of a plane ticket to go look at it as it tics a lot of boxes for me, one being that it is under $150k.

We had a contract on it back in 2004 but backed out before survey. We also looked at her last summer for a friend. Beautiful boat that was well built and a nice layout, unsure of the condition now. The owner is almost completely deaf and quite a character.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

If that photos are up to date its definitly worth looking at it for 150k. Looks good, will be fast.

You have to do some navigational and eletronic updates to do but that should be less then 5k if you do it yourself.
SmJ What are the standing heights in salon and hulls?

I don’t recall the standing heights, what I do recall is at 6’4” tall the aft bunks were to short for me.

Why did you back out? What was the condition last summer? PM me if you don’t feel comfortable talking about it on here.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

Not cheap, but a project.

I have seen this boat before it went for sale. A lot of improvised stays trying to hold things together, and painted plywood pieces that are wet and delaminating. Weird line and pulley system connected to rudders in the amas. Boards do NOT seem to be proper NACA sections….

Good luck to the buyer!

I doubt there would be a buyer.

I dislike that it's advertised as fiberglass for the hull material when it's clearly a composite boat (fiberglass over plywood).

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

This thing seems crazy.

"Perkins still runs fine just smokes a little and I started to take the wall paper down inside and didn’t finish so that needs completed. Both engines were running when I came here. The water pump on the Volvo needs replaced. Is is demasted and on hard. Has been since last winter. I would say there is 15k of work inside unless you can work on diesel engines yourself"
