Notice the nice dodger/bimini/enclosure vs. the blue tarp version. It could be a before and after version around weather damage, but the two different windows in the port side aft bulkhead was unlikely, as well as other details in the views of the cockpit. Maybe all legit. Owners have been busy with upgrades and changes?? Anyone with knowledge?

There are also 2 helm chairs now. The cockpit view with the new bimini cover does show the interior with the same window shades so I'm thinking it's an upgrade. The seat covers and sail cover look new. That window is weird so maybe it's a slight remodel. I think it's legit but putting in the pics of the tarp just leads to confusion. I guess he was going for before and after.

Free, I think
Here's a partially completed Seaclipper 34 tri in Everett WA. I think it's free if you just haul it away.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
Here's a Tristar 31 with several soft spots in the deck supposedly pretty small that need repaired. It looks like a really nice boat......... I'm suspicious of soft spots naturally... a soft spot described as 12x18 inches could easily reflect a much larger wet area.... I wonder if this deck is plywood or end grain balsa. I could see what originally looked like a small project blowing up into a very large one. Still at $15.5k it's a very nice boat. The Craig's List add shows a lot of detail. (Bellingham, Wa).

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
The Tristars have by far the nicest interiors of the trimarans followed by the Crosses. Small cockpit tho. Searunners have the best cockpit followed by the Crosses.

My interest is in voyaging..... a 31' Trimaran is really a two person boat in that context in terms of load capacity. The small cockpit is an asset in ocean crossing. Huge cockpits hold a lot of water. The Tristar's cockpit is about perfect in this case all things considered. It has a LOT of deck space, and plenty of cockpit for two or even 4 people. What do you want? I look at monohulls where half the boat is cockpit, and just laugh at the absurdity of it.......But for a day sailor a big cockpit makes sense. We all have our priorities. For you a small cockpit is a liability, for me it's an asset.

Perhaps i did not express my thots very well. The Searunner cockpit is large and well positioned to sail the boat. Everything 'cept anchoring can be done from the cockpit. The Tristarz cockpit is exposed to the wind and the elements. You are indeed right that the smallness makes for a safer boat, but brrrrrr.
