Looking at GoogleEarth she has occupied the same berth since sometime between 2005 and 2011.

That might be worthwhile if the rot isn't too bad. I had a Bucc. Mine had non removable glassed in amas and beams but most were built using the round metal beams. I think those were aluminum but I'm not sure. The original design spec called for a custom made wooden dowel insert so those beams could be removed for over the road transport. You can see the seam splice in the beams where that big dowel would go. And it includes a trailer. And the price is right.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

Commodore Explorer for sale.

Commodore Explorer is a 24 meter all carbon fibre catamaran. The first boat around the world in under 80 days. Held many records in the 90s. It comes with a container full of equipment and 2 x 28m carbon fibre masts with SS/dynema rigging. Currently on the hard in a port in Portugal. Definitely a big project but doable for someone based in Europe with the right skills.

Looking for 50,000 Euros or best offer.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

Damian, you should list that boat in the classifieds section. The rules require pics BTW. Sounds like a very cool boat. But is it fast?

Yeah I listed it here as it is a project. A crew member in a transpac told me they were doing 37 knts at one point. Paul Olsen told me a story where he was a crew delivering it to Yokahama for a race with Skip Novak as skipper who shouted up from below to keep it under 20 knts.

Wow, you could raise the boom and build a generous sized multi cabin nidaplast or foam sandwich god pod on that , carry some nice toys and sail her around with drastically reduced sail plan and still make good miles.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

Warning UK Multihull - Summer Twins in Southampton. UK

The guy is using false photos probably 10 years old, asking for a deposit, promising sails when there are not there.
Then keeping the deposit - he was asking £10K now £7.5K for 1 day sail.

See Ebay.co.uk - you will find 2 listings the sellers and the guy who lost his deposit with the real photos.
