Here's another link to the boat, there's a video at the bottom of the page. (I'm not affiliated in any way, I just recognized the brokerage and looked up the boat.)

I like it has the outboard , it will need repairs done on the bulkhead that the chain plates attach too, a fairly common repair on the gems. Good price though

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I looked at this boat, it has chain plate problems, one side has already been fixed, but the other side needs to be fixed, what is not easily fixed is that the whole deck of the boat is spongy. The forestay for the mast is pulling right out and taking a 6" circle of the deck with it. There is also some mold inside that I didn't investigate any further but someone would be wise to do so. I think it will go for a bit over $20,000.

Other than the major problem of the deck, the rest of the boat is in surprisingly good condition. I expected it to look worse.

My friend looked at it too. We doubt they will get $20k. We came up with a refit cost analysis of $20-$25k and closer to $30k if its a brand new 4stroke vs used.

Did you friend make an offer on the boat? I heard a rumor that someone had offered $18,000 and the owners turned it down. I also heard that the same person was coming back with another offer. But that was a rumor and could very well be false.

What did you think about fixing the deck? How would you do it? Not that I'm going to, fortunately I can afford a better boat, but would you tear off the whole deck? or do something else? One person I talked to suggested putting a nice piece of wood in the amas on the ceiling and supporting the deck that way. Would that work?

Windhorze, it's been about a month; how's she look on the inside? Good first month of ownership? Please tell a story for the cheap seats!
