Asymmetrical Spinnaker Vs Gennaker

I currently have an Asymmetrical spinnaker in a sock, which although being a bit cumbersome to get out of the bow cabin, its relatively easy to fly.


I was thinking about getting a prodder and a Gennaker on a top down furler to replace it, but its overall quite costly and the sailmaker is advising me that the Asymmetrical spinnaker is a much better option to go with.



The boat is a Lagoon 440


Any views and experiences of the two sails on a Catamaran would be appreciated
