Alberg 37 for $25,000.
Posting this on behalf of my partner's uncle. I spent a week aboard her last summer and she is in fantastic shape and well kitted out. Price in CAD.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
Would just like to say, this forum kept me looking until I found the right boat for me. Closed today on a shed stored '82 Corbin 39 Pilothouse Ketch.
Sound hull, and layout works for me. No rot(dry shed)..... definitely a fixer upper, but close by and very inexpensive.
Picture is back in the day.....but I'll be getting back out there soon enough.

Patrick...Congratulations! Although I did not buy my most recent boat via here, it did give me the feel of the market. From the many negative comments from the usual tire kickers, it also told me that there were no serious buyers for the fixer-upper category which I usually select from. This allowed me to wait and watch asking prices come down and gave me confidence in making an offer.

Very nice boat! There are several in my boatyard in Iroquois, ON.
One of them was left in the water in the winter and had a fire. They saved the hull...!
The guy may be interested in selling parts (depending on where you are it might help).

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
Thanks, the boat is supposed the be complete, but if you have buddies contact information, I'm sure something is missing. I know my main sail to is knackered so if it was a Ketch that might be something. My prop strut has a crack,. I was going to braze it, but the bronze is aged, if he had an identical fresh water one... Yup I should give him a call..m

Yup I always buy fixer uppers as well. The lead to for my boat wasn't posted here either, but like you, getting a market feel, and some constructive criticism on what is good and isn't on various boats was helpful. I took a chance on a cored (synthetic) hull......since the PO was the only owner and pretty meticulous I presume with my care as well, it'll do well.

OK, I'll email him, if he's interested. Not exactly a buddy, but I feel for him. He lives in Montreal and the boat is in Iroquois Ontario.

Hi Patrick, Sorry; apparently the owner of the fire-damaged boat isn't ready to part it out and wants to sell it as a whole.
Sue.

My feeling is that he is still in shock. After a few months the reality of finding someone to buy it as a restore might change his mind.
