Re: OpenCPN Version 5.7.1 Alpha Test #3

JP...
I run into the same "mismatch".
Follow the advises above about OpenCPN\cache and, not less, I'd to so far point to the same .\cache by all wxWidgets environment path as well.

Then clean .\build and run a new cmake..
I used:
Code:
cmake -T v143 -DCMAKE_GENERATOR_PLATFORM=Win32 -DOCPN_BUILD_TEST:BOOL=OFF ..
BTW: An external plugin must also be rebuilt using the same wxWidgets and v143!
Code:
cmake -T v143 -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=RelWithDebInfo -DCMAKE_GENERATOR_PLATFORM=Win32 ..

HI Mike & Hakan
I was sinking in the "mismatch" but thanks to you, I am back to the dry land.
The batch "win_deps.bat" do not work. I made all files transfers and folders organization manually. Now Everything OK.

"win_deps.bat"... I run from within the "x86 Native Tools Command Promt for VS2022".
started as Administrator. Then it will find git bash and other to facilitate all commands in the .bat file.

Should it be wx32? ShipDriver has problems as well at the moment, even with a wx32 name.

Hello Dave,
It took me a long time to find a version of OpenCPN 5.7.1 capable of installing the O-chart plugin. But, it is chosen done with version 5.7.1+b509f6.... under Windows 10
I was also able to download and install my chartset from o-chart. It's OK.

I observe the way the probes are displayed. See screenshot attached
Firstly : Near the port, we see probes of 18 and 27 meters. But in this area there are only small depths: 1.8 and 2.7 meters are the correct values. Is it a manufacturing error of the card or a malfunction of OpenCPN?

On the other hand : In the display of underlined probes, the underline is not exactly under the integer value of the probe. In some areas where the probes are known to be very dense, this makes reading quite difficult.

Gilletarom...
Regarding drying area depth indicators shown in screenshot.
Looks like a fault on o-charts_pi, at first look. I will investigate.

Welcome back aboard!

Not very useful. Better to take the good old cm93.

There's are first steps to a manual to compile and develop for Windows using wxWidgets 3.2.1 here.
Alec has made a great job initializing this but it's not yet ready for a clear step by step to follow. You've to tweak some details.

An easier way than to build yourself to test alpha versions could be the OpenCPN Cloudsmith where all unstable builds are created. But beware the latest can be really unstable due the ongoing more or less daily development. If unsure you better take the older version Dave recommended at the top of this thread.
I also think there will be a Beta announcement coming up in a near future.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.7.1 Alpha Test #3

It sems to work OK in Windows, with the exception that you can not import certain plugins. So it should be corrected. Many thanks.
Merry christmas.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.7.1 Alpha Test #3

Hello Dave, All,

I may be early... So I tried this morning's version: opencpn-msvc_5.7.1+4226.a4e630b_setup.

In the "Connections" page there is a new feature: "Priority list"...

Hmm what is it? How does this work?
