Re: What's the longest you've been continuously at sea

26 days, Vanuatu to Darwin
26 days, Galapagos to Nuku Hiva

Both wonderful and magical experiences, and I am looking forward to doing them again.

I made this post assuming the the OP meant aboard a sailboat or small powered vessel. I've spent well over 60 continuous days at sea on Navy ships and there might be some submariners here who have spent many months under the ice. That's just not the same.

Sigh. 36 hours between landfalls is all I have managed so far. Do I get some kind of wooden spoon?

Of course you belong. Think about it! The greatest risk is when the hull is closer to the rocks! I keep great respect for the long passages offshore, but a different and most demanding task comes into play when the water gets skinny!

Re: What's the longest you've been continuously at sea

I did 7 days single handed, which was for me a big deal. Delaware Bay to Shelborne, N.S.

I've done two and three day runs a few times. I get antsy and want to get there so I end up going off shore a bit and running for a night or two.

Re: What's the longest you've been continuously at sea

23 days Waikiki to Sitka, Alaska. Very light winds in the Pacific High and then laid at a sea anchor for 24 hours while a 986-millibar low passed. A slightly longer passage - Puerto Vallarta to Hiva Oa - only took us 18 days.

23 days San Diego to Lahaina. When I arrived the coasties boarded my boat and gave me a ticket for not having a bell. Aloha
