I was in the SSBN side. Longest of my six patrols was 75 days submerged.

Yeah the boomers had it rough, longest time for me on ssn 96 days submerged.
Otherwise 28 days Galapagos to Marqueses, had to turn around 5 days from arrival to give assist to another boat in trouble.

I wouldn't have been able to remember much about it, had I not written up my log every day, each day just seemed to melt into the next. Like I said though, I would have been faster, I had estimated no more than 35 days, but I was dragging a several hundred goose neck mussels across the atlantic.

Kauai to San Francisco 30 days.

Five days longer than expected, due to being becalmed for several days in the Pacfic High on water as flat as a mirror, and because the engine would not work (unusable for the voyage).

Long slow passages give one time to think, and a nice relaxing time to enjoy good books. Night watches in good weather are good times to enjoy solitude, good music, or stargazing.

Good luck brings fish, dolphins, whales, and seabirds to visit the boat while underway.

Good voyages create good memories.

I was at sea once for 66 days without touching land.
Longest voyage was from Yokohama Japan to San Francisco Ca USA without refueling with an average speed of over 20 kt. Great circle route and a great voyage.
