PS - Is St. Johns River Cruisers an active forum? Thanks. M.

Greetings: I have often seen your postings on this forum. I once had a 1973 41' Morgan ketch that I bought from Sally Morgan (Charlie's wife was a broker then) and I truly loved that boat. Alas, age caught up to me and I switched from sail to steam and now have a 29' Prairie trawler, which I also love. I am located not far from St. Petersburg and was raised in Gainesville. I crossed the St. Johns river many times on my way to St. Augustine or Daytona Beach and I am truly smitten with that river, but I have never cruised on it.
I am thinking about possibly moving my trawler to the St. Johns and maybe even moving there full time. If you were in my position where would you think about locating the trawler for a more or less permanent marina, some place live aboard friendly? What are your favorite cruising areas on the St. Johns? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Hope all is well with you. Mike Meeker.

I see you looked at the thread yesterday. No one else for quite some time. Alan here in central Maryland. Boat in Reedville, VA ashore for the winter. All things permitting my bride and I will cruise Chesapeake Bay Area this Summer. Then head South. Tag if you’d care to correspond.

Also member of AGLCA & MTOA...

Hi Mike: Sorry, you have me confused with someone else. I sail a PDQ 36 catamaran and live in Melbourne, FL.

Hudson (I think your first name if is actually Stuart),
My son, Alec, bought your boat. He is a good man. He and Marley are excited about the opportunity to live on and travel aboard Aythya. I will be going with him to the Keys on the first leg of his trip to Pensacola. I am sure Alec will be asking questions in the future and let you know how your vessel is doing.
Good luck to you and your wife, Mike
