Re: Don't Pay The Ferryman...
While you're there boatman, the Admiralty Marshall is the guy who nails the writ to the mast. It could be fun to follow him with your camera although I think that these days they use cable ties.
That carries nowhere near as much cachet but whatchagonnado ?
I always wanted to be the guy who strides manfully down the dock with a writ in one hand and a hammer in the other all the while striking fear into the hearts of waterfront evil doers and ne'er do wells.

He'll be able to go to his first Melbourne Cup party. I sure hope he can afford a nice hat.

So... with a bit of luck I'll be looking for boats to move in/out and all around OZ in the near future...

I'm in Melbourne and you can use my address (even crash here for a few nights if you need to).
Might even be able to swing a sponsorship (I'm a registered employer), but it might be hard to explain why an Accounting firm needs a sailor...

Well, that would be to manage the fleet of boats you're putting together for your marketing campaign to take on PWC. Spinnakers don't fly by themselves, right?

Not that I believe in such things ( ) but isn't it nice to have a well stocked Karma Bank?
That is great news!

Re: Don't Pay The Ferryman...
Wonder if they keep track of forums such as these to see who is heading their way, so they can hit them with the taxes/duties etc? Guess i would if i was them. Keep up the good spirits, it may become a great adventure after all this.
Coops.

Re: Don't Pay The Ferryman...
Sorry to hear about your troubles, best of luck with it. Years ago I got stiffed on a delivery job after the boat took a lightning strike. The boat got trashed and the owners insurance paid for it but he didn't feel like paying us and never did. Mind you it was a seven day job not seven months, not really enough to be worth fighting for.
Several years after the fact my mate chanced at random upon an opportunity to negatively influence the boat owner's business affairs well beyond the scale of the original unpaid debt.
Of course we would have been happier to have been paid as we were rightfully owed at the time and I can't say that knowing we got payback later made me feel better about getting screwed in the first place, but it's good to know what comes around goes around.
Cheers

He does it regularly - probably every time he changes his undies. A bit overdue this time.
Like somebody else around here.
