Re: Don't Pay The Ferryman...
WA has excellent wines - even the $2.99 ones they usually come at a premium on the East Coast.

Re: Don't Pay The Ferryman...
Do you need to physically track the boat down? or can you instead record the lien against her at the Aussie boat registry? (I have no idea if that is doable).
Even if you do need to track the boat down, should not be too hard. Boots on the ground, looking and simply asking around (people are often quite keen to get involved in something slightly out of the dull and are therefore surprisingly helpful) and if needed maybe some reward money .
If not done so already, might be an idea to build up as much info as possible on the people concerned. financial position. location(s), business interests, employment records, who they know, family members (and location) and any "connections" to bear in mind (or use )......yer never know what will be useful down the line. I am sure in your previous occupation you never went in totally blind on what / who you were up against, or even if you did - someone else at least had done the dull end of the legwork. In the private sector you get to do that as well .

I hope the Australian legal system has a fast track system for this kind of case otherwise it could become a legal slug fest.

Re: Don't Pay The Ferryman...
Ask your lawyer to find out who the Admiralty Marshall is in Perth. He works for the WA Division of the Federal Court and has the power to give money to stranded and unpaid sailors. Make an application for $$$$$.
