Is it too early to ask for her number?

Hope she gives you a boat compass when she casts you adrift following the mutiny.

OK Astrid... I tried to translate your quote and here's what I got: "Intellect is needed, the widely; easy at home what" !!! It sounds like the translator from "Mars Attacks!" What the heck does it mean?

It's a kenning from the Havamal, and as such is difficult to translate directly, but the rough translation literary English:
He hath need of his wits who wanders wide,
aught simple will serve at home;
or more bluntly,
Who travels widely needs his wits about him,
The stupid should stay at home:

Wise words IMO. Since you single hand, I presume you need a double set of wits?
So, what do you do all alone on a 50ft Ketch on the "fringes" of civilisation? I looked up Hecate Sound and it looks very bleak and empty - which I am sure gives it a beauty all of its own, but I imagine you would need to be very self-reliant in that part of the world. Help does not look too close...

When women leave they always take at least a bit of your dreams with them. and that's a good thing. and as it should be
Besides, the bucket of dreams is always available when ready to sip from again

Hey Mark, sorry to hear about you and Nic, having been through a serious relationship breakup, albeit 20+ yrs ago, I know how you are feeling, but as you are an aussie actor, you have probably had some ups and downs already, everybody search Mark Jensen, Aussie actor, also won best actor award, I remember some of your commercials, ha ha check out the videos, if you want to put a voice to his name, all the best to both of you. mike

Ahoy Mark, I have enjoyed reading your posts, but it was sad to hear that you will be sailing alone? It's still a great life mate, fair winds. I am stuck in the Banyak Islands...........................
