Greetings, I wonder if I can trouble you for a copy of the FAMET manual you mentioned in an old post (09). I have one of these on a recently acquired boat, and want to do some maintenance
    Thank you

    Hi, Chris--

I just bought an Acapulco 40 that seems to have the same rudder issues you were confronted with. Can you tell me what the result of your repair was? What did you end up doing ? Did you rebuild with original hardware, or did you build a complete new structure?

    Hi Chris,

It's been a while (actually, I have not been on the site for quite a while). Just for your information, I have a good sailing buddy who has the Acapulco 40 that was built alongside mine, in 1978. His wife has become very ill and he will be putting the boat up for sale. I have asked him to send me some photos and anyone who is looking for one of these wonderful boats will be put in contact with him. It is located here in Oregon and has yet to make a long passage. It is overdue for one!

I also have a photo of an Anacapa 40 that my friends took on their most recent cruise up into Alaska (if it is still in my computer). I will be happy to send it to you, but not sure if I have your current email.

    Fair winds,

    Garry Powell

    Hi Chrisian,
My boyfriend and I own a 1978 32 Challenger. We are restoring her. Do you know where we may find anything on this year? Also where is the hull # located?
    Thanks, Angie and Randy (angileena12)

    Hi Christian,
I own a Challenger 40 Sloop rigged, full keel, 1973 vintage, possibly hull #23 or 24, have had Sea Turtle (formerly DUNAMIS) for over 1-1/2 years, located in San Diego. Would like to join the Challenger Club, and have been registered. Have most if not all of the documentation that came with the boat. Have been slowly restoring her.

You will like Port Jefferson if you get there. It's a little like, New Hope, or Lambertville imo. Like a little country town. They have a pretty good 4th of July fireworks display too.
