I’d like to see several hundred boats anchor in view of this man’s home
watch out the guy might flip out and grab his AK47 and start shooting .. but there must be better anchorages than this in miami.

Re: Bullying on the Waterway ( Sunset Lake, Miami )

Hi Canucksailor. As the original poster of this subject I like the letter you sent. One word of warning, you WILL get messages from people who will try to turn this ugly, for example the "fiasco" that was mentioned in the original post, some one made a post suggesting my wife maybe was inebriated, when in fact she is a Stroke survivor, so does not have more than one drink. One person pm'd me to suggest that I was full of """" I had to tell him I had video taped the whole thing just in case things turned ugly. Also we were accused of not being credible as we had not posted to this forum before.. Guess this proves we were not full of """". We are on our way back from the Keys, & although we had not intended to return there, we are now thinking "Just Maybe", & no we we would not move. Anyway best of luck with the raft up. We will follow this with interest.

The thing to do is in the press embarrass the civil servants who give in to this guys requests. The guy looking out the window is a knucklehead but you are going after the wrong person here.

Re: Bullying on the Waterway ( Sunset Lake, Miami )

Would anchoring a crappy $1000 houseboat and fishing off the "porch" with the white trash attire and shot gun (just for looks folks) in full display going too far? If not, you find the boat and I can find the relatives.

Re: Bullying on the Waterway ( Sunset Lake, Miami )

I emailed the Mayor and told him I could not not believe that boaters thought they could just anchor anywhere in public waters, especially near one of his friend's/campaign contributor's homes!

Waiting for a reply. I'm sure it's coming soon.

Re: Bullying on the Waterway ( Sunset Lake, Miami )

The Miami press is starting to respond to this effort. See Miami Boating News :: Anchor Fest Miami Beach - The Letter to the Mayor that Started it All
Folks, keep those cards and letters coming in - we can shut this goon down. Also, feel free to email the mayor of Miami Beach about this issue. Her email is mayorbower@miamibeachfl.gov

Its like watching the Arab Spring.
I wonder if there will be tanks on the streets and cruisers raiding the White House?
