My old ears were not hearing anything to bad there except a ticking, just do me a favour and drop all the belts off and run it for a minute,before you start stripping it.

My guess it's a neutral fault , try running a neutral straight from battery to plotter direct, tap into plotters neutral as close to unit as possible, I'd be interested to know if this cures the...

Reasons I'll stick with my flat bottomed centre board steel mono hull: cheaper to slip, cheaper to maintain, cheaper in a marina, I've been in 12 meter swell plus seas in both... never again in a cat!
